Construction at West Side Park 2 Years, 10 Months ago

I read that the dog park at West Side Community park was delayed, however, was walking around the park the other day and saw two areas under construction.
Will one of these be the new dog park?

I haven't had any info from the parks department other than the city postponed the dog park indefinitely and decided to build another skate park instead. The other section may just be a pathway but I'll call the parks this coming week and try to get more info.

I just spoke to City Rep. Lilly from District #1. This is the district where High Ridge Park is in. She has told me that the project is NOT postponed indefinitely and is going to be redesigned. This project is supposed to be ready in August.
I will be speaking with her about some related things and will post what I find out as I get it. Stay active on the website! We're making progress.

It was mentioned a while ago that construction might begin in August. Any word on when this will begin?

New in town... which park and directions? I understand it is still under construction and as always there are beurocratic delays but we are still interested in checking it out once it is open. Direction for a new Eastsider??

No new info yet. Although I was contacted by the El Paso Times. Mrs. Lily, from District #1 said they would know if the grant was approved in August, and construction would start soon after if it was approved. Nothing new has been passed along to me as of yet.

The only current dog park (more like a dog run) is located at Eastwood Park, also known as Album Park, on Album & Yarbrough.
The new dog park is said to be located at High Ridge Park off High Ridge and Resler in the Westside of El Paso
